Incense Smokers

Smoker1

Smokers, or Raeucher- maennchen in German, are a unique tradition of the Erzgebirge mountains of Germany. Tradition has it that the incense they burn reminds the owner of the incense the Three Wise Men brought to Jesus on Epiphany, January 6th.

Smoker2

An incense cone is placed inside, lit, and the smoker smokes out of its mouth, or sometimes out of a chimney or cooking pot.
