Koblenz Christmas Market

Nostalgic Horse Carriage ride through the enchanting old quarter of Koblenz

Koblenz Christmas Market

Koblenz's traditional Christmas market will be held in the picturesque Old Town, just a stone's throw from the main shopping street. There will be over 130 festively decorated wooden stalls offering an extensive range of hand-made goods and Christmas decorations as well as a huge range of seasonal gift ideas.

A wealth of highlights are planned for the Christmas market, all under the watchful eye of the boy on the famous "Schängel" fountain: An array of concerts (classical, jazz, gospel) as well as nostalgic carriage rides through the enchanting old quarter are perfect for romantic interludes.

The 24 advent calendar windows on the roof of the baroque town hall are sure to get every visitor into the Christmas spirit.

About the Town of Koblenz

Koblenz is considered the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Surrounded by 4 beautiful upland regions, the city is situated on the banks of two world-famous rivers – the Rhine and the Moselle. Woods, lakes and meadows account for a mild and very agreeable climate and cover two-thirds of the city’s total area. 2,000 years of historical heritage are on display at the city’s numerous excellent museums. The city’s famous sights attract visitors from all over the world.

The "Wine Village," situated on the Rhine banks has for nearly 75 years been an exceptional address for connoisseurs of good wine and regional specialities.

One recommendation for eating out in Koblenz is the Old Brewery Pub, located in the Old Town of Koblenz, it serves real traditional beer from the Königsbacher Brewery and the menu contains primarily local dishes, like brewing stew with dumplings.
