Koblenz is considered the gateway to the UNESCO World
Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Surrounded
by 4 beautiful upland regions, the city is situated on the
banks of two world-famous rivers – the Rhine and the Moselle.
Woods, lakes and meadows account for a mild and very
agreeable climate and cover two-thirds of the city’s total
area. 2,000 years of historical heritage are on display at
the city’s numerous excellent museums. The city’s famous
sights attract visitors from all over the world.
The "Wine Village," situated on the Rhine banks has for
nearly 75 years been an exceptional address for connoisseurs
of good wine and regional specialities.
One recommendation for eating out in Koblenz is the Old
Brewery Pub, located in the Old Town of Koblenz, it serves
real traditional beer from the Königsbacher Brewery and the menu
contains primarily local dishes, like brewing stew
with dumplings. |
