| Hildesheim Christmas Market
Hildesheim's Christmas market comes to life on the historical market square and around the town hall.
Its backdrop is the impressive façade of the Knochenhaueramtshaus, a former butchers' guildhouse which is reputed to be the most beautiful half-timbered house in the world.
Every year around 75 beautifully decorated stands turn this classic
historic town into a festive spirit. With the hustle and bustle among
the stands, selling handcrafted articles and culinary delights, the
Hildesheim Christmas Market is futher enhanced with a wide range of
performances from glass-blowing to timber sculptured sawing. Even for
smaller guests there are a wide range of interesting and exciting
attractions.
Two
other Christmas Markets are held on 'Platz an der Lilie' and Pferdemarkt
squares, both hosting of delightful gifts and seasonal food and drink,
Christmas concerts and performances.
