Göttingen's romantic Christmas market has a magical festive atmosphere with narrow rows of stalls gathered round the medieval old town hall, the Goose Girl statue and St. John's Church on market square. There are craft demonstrations at many of the stalls, while the young and young-at-heart will be itching to take a ride on the traditional Ferris wheel.
