One of the loveliest Christmas Markets in Germany, the history of this Christmas Market goes back for over 300 years.
The Braunschweig Christmas Market is surrounded by fine half-timbered buildings and many historic landmarks, it is full of traditional charm and a pure delight for visitors of all ages.
Sparkling lights, festive music, Christmas greenery and the great variety on offer attract hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, calling the Christmas spirit to life.
Handmade Christmas tree decorations, pottery and glassware, candles, wooden toys and much, much more create a festive shopping experience. All kinds of winter and Christmas goodies, specialities from Braunschweig and the surrounding region also make a stroll through the Christmas market a culinary delight.
The “Platz der Deutschen Einheit” in front of the Rathaus (City Hall) will also be used for the Christmas Market. Over 130 stallholders in a space of around 3000 square meters will present everything your heart could possibly desire.
